Definition of Time Management

The definition of time management is a set of skills which allow a person to be more productive and efficient in completing tasks.

Time management skills include:
Personal goal setting skills
Organizing skills
Prioritizing skills
Stress management skills

Brian Tracy’s explanation on time management is that it is “a vehicle that can carry you from wherever you are to wherever you want to go”.

Other personal development experts like Anthony Robbins say that “once you have mastered time, you will understand how true it is that most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year - and underestimate what they can achieve in a decade!”

The importance of time management is that it helps you to utilize your time in a more efficient way and allow you to accomplish more tasks in the shortest possible time.

Time management is mainly about self management since you are acquiring skills for managing yourself more efficiently.
