Procrastination is the biggest reason for your loss of productivity and lack of output.

You must learn how to beat procrastination and finish your work on time.

This is more of a habit than a desire. It can be so hard to get into a groove where starting your tasks in a timely fashion is a priority; especially if the consequences for being late are things that one can probably bear.

Work From an Effective To-do List

This is another important factor to overcome procrastination! It is very important that you have a list of activities to accomplish per day.

Use prioritized to-do list. Budgeting your time and resources can never be easier with a to-do list. You can see how much time you have exactly when you list it down to detail.

One of the cardinal sins people commit in regards to performing their tasks is to put off their work because they feel like there is so much time left. But with a list, you are able to keep track of important activities and make accurate time estimates for each activity.

Break Tasks into Manageable Tasks

Another way to overcome procrastination is to learn how to break things into manageable chunks. This way it would not look so daunting to finish it. This is definitely one of the most effective ways to overcome procrastination.

Reward yourself along the way, but ONLY after you get things done

It is important to have rewards along the way after each mini-task is completed.

But many people put their work off for later thinking, “I'll just have a little fun then buckle down to work later.”

While it may be true that they may have more than enough time to accomplish their tasks, it would be better if they finished their work first and relax afterwards.

Relaxation is sweeter after a taxing job. DO NOT choose to relax if the task is NOT completed! It is always better to have slack period AFTER a job is completed than before one, especially considering that people are wont to overusing their slack time.

You will be more prone to burnout and completing the task will feel like a pain. Make sure you complete it before you relax, you can then reward yourself after this.

By doing so, you will not procrastinate too often, we often focus on the short-term gain of avoiding the painful tasks, but then we suffer later on in the future for not getting that particular task done.
